I was blessed to be the guest speaker at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Baccalaureate services yesterday.  Many thanks to Rev. Norman Freeman and first lady Lavinia Freeman, secretary April Broughton, all of the parishioners and the wonderful graduates including Marquis Antwan Ferguson, who’s a graduate of my Alma mater Florida Memorial University.   Antwan is part of the aviation depart ment with plans to volunteer for the Peace Corps.   I hope I inspired you as much as you inspired and touched me!

Yup that's what Beyonce told her fans this weekend.  After her show in Milan this weekend, Beyonce was 38 hot about the pregnancy rumours and took to Instagram "I can't stop the rumours fromn starting and I can't really change people's minds who believe them.  All I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than to talk about me."  Oh bay bay...You really don't even wanna know what happens when those folks find something better to do than talk about you boo-boo...

It's Time to Spa Chic in Ft. Lauderdale! First Stop? Spa Atlantic...

Next to Christmas, August and September are my favorite times of year.  Why?  Miami Spa Month and Ft. Lauderdale’s Spa Chic, great promotions that allow us to enjoy some of the best spas in South Florida for a fraction of the regular price.  For $99 you can sample signature service this month at spas like the W Ft. Lauderdale, The Diplomat Resort and Spa and legendary Atlantic Hotel where I went last week for their Spa Chic Sampler.

I always plan my spa treatments for late morning so I can get in a nice workout where available, steam shower before I start my services and that way I truly make it a full day at the spa. The Atlantic Hotel and Spa, like most of the participating hotels, has several choices for Spa Chic, full length treatments or ones like the sampler I chose. A 25 minute Fresher Facial, 25 minutes Head, Neck & Shoulders Massage & Express Manicure.  It’s a delightful taste of the most popular services which starts with a deep-cleansing introductory facial based on organic Moor Mud, which completely refines and remineralizes dull, lifeless skin.  As you can see from my photo below, it brought back my hi-brow glow.

After a lovely cup of tea, Javier ushered me in to his den of relaxation for my 25 min massage.    This young man was easily one of the best masseurs I’ve ever had.  The service concentrates of the areas that are giving you trouble – neck, back and shoulders for me, and Javier took his time working out the knots I’ve tied myself in.  A rose petal manicure completed my service but not my time at The Atlantic Hotel and Spa.  I headed the hotel’s East End Brasserie for cocktails and a light bite on the terrace overlooking the Ocean and AIA and all is right with the world.
